The Peony Bed
As a millennium project, the London Horticultural Society planted a peony bed, London’s Civic Flower since 1919, at the Tourist London Information Centre entrance located at 696 Wellington Rd. S. The bed contains peonies hybridized by Arthur Percy Saunders and Lyman S. Cousins. Both men had close ties to London.
Be sure to visit the peony bed from mid-May to early June for a spectacular showing; and visit often as there are early and late blooming varieties so it looks different every day!
